The Arc Mercer is a Ewing, New Jersey, provider of support services that enable people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive and succeed. The Arc Mercer Family Support department is tasked with coordinating client introduction, admissions, and intake. Engaging with caregivers and family members on a community network level, it also partners with public agencies and other stakeholders to seamlessly place clients in appropriate programs where they can immediately thrive.

Since its inception in 1950, the organization has steadily expanded to the point where it’s now tasked with assisting more than 1,000 adults annually. The organization has close ties to Liberia through a staff sourcing visa program, and in 2022 embarked on an ambitious mutual capacity-building project in the African nation.
